Build your setup
A good session depends on four parts working together: the hookah, the bowl, the tobacco and the heat. Here's how our range fits.
- Hookahs: from the Mini Hookah Set and 32cm Travel Hookah to the 60cm Classic, Brass Classic and 76cm Traditional.
- Shisha tobacco: classic Double Apple and Grape Mint, Dark Leaf Berry and Mint, and tobacco-free herbal molasses (200g).
- Bowls: Egyptian clay, clay phunnel, silicone and silicone Turkish bowls, plus a heat management device and foil kit.
- Charcoal: Desert Rose Coconut Charcoal 1kg natural cubes.
- Hoses and accessories: glass mouthpieces, charcoal tongs and cleaning brushes.
Match the bowl to the tobacco
Juicy, wet molasses suits a phunnel bowl, which keeps the juice from running into the stem. Drier, leafier tobaccos such as dark leaf suit an Egyptian clay bowl. Silicone bowls are nearly unbreakable and easy to clean: a practical choice for travel and outdoor sessions.
Heat management
Natural coconut charcoal burns cleaner and longer than quick-light coals and has no chemical taste. Light it fully until every surface glows, then use foil or a heat management device to control temperature. Too much heat gives a harsh taste; too little gives thin smoke.
Shisha at home in the UAE
Shisha and tobacco products are for adults over 18. Smoke in a well-ventilated space, keep lit coals on a heatproof surface, and never leave a burning hookah unattended.
Frequently asked questions
Which hookah size should I buy?
Taller hookahs (60 to 76cm) give a cooler, smoother draw and suit home use. Compact options like the 32cm Travel Hookah or Mini Hookah Set are easier to carry and store.
What is the best charcoal for shisha?
Natural coconut charcoal, such as Desert Rose Coconut Charcoal, burns longer and cleaner than quick-light coals.
What is a phunnel bowl?
A bowl with a raised centre spire that keeps juice from dripping into the stem. Ideal for wet molasses.
Is herbal shisha tobacco-free?
Yes. Our Desert Rose Herbal range is tobacco-free molasses in 200g packs.
How often should I clean my hookah?
Change the water after every session, and brush the stem and base regularly to stop flavour ghosting.
