What puff count actually tells you
Puff count is measured under lab conditions with short, even draws. Long or hard draws use more e-liquid, so real-world figures are usually lower. Treat it as a way of comparing devices rather than a promise.
Matching a range to your use
- Up to 1000 puffs: compact bars, ideal for trying a flavour or occasional use. Usually not rechargeable.
- 1000–4000 puffs: mid-size devices for regular use without carrying a spare.
- 4000 puffs and above: larger devices with more e-liquid, almost always rechargeable over USB-C so the battery lasts as long as the liquid.
Why rechargeable matters
On a high-puff device, the battery would otherwise die before the e-liquid runs out and you would throw away what you paid for. A rechargeable disposable keeps working until the liquid is finished, which is why 6000-puff devices charge by cable.
Cost per puff
Dividing the price by the puff count is the quickest way to compare two disposables. Over time a refillable pod kit still works out cheaper than any disposable, because you only replace pods and e-liquid.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a 6000-puff vape last?
For many regular users, one to two weeks. Heavy users get less, light users more.
Are puff counts accurate?
They are lab estimates based on short draws. Expect fewer puffs in normal use.
Do high-puff vapes need charging?
Most do. They hold more e-liquid than the battery can vaporise on one charge, so they recharge by USB-C.
Which puff count is best for a first-time buyer?
A smaller device up to 1000 puffs, so you can test the flavour and strength before committing.
Is a disposable cheaper than a pod kit?
Per device, yes. Over a month of daily use, a refillable pod kit is usually cheaper.
