What makes a good hookah
Look for a tight seal between stem, base and hose, and an open, easy draw. A taller stem gives smoke more time to cool. Stainless or brass stems resist corrosion and are easier to clean than painted metal.
Setting up
Fill the base so the stem sits about 2 to 3cm under the water, fit the grommets, attach the hose, pack the bowl and add heat. Test the draw before lighting.
