Description
What the light is for
The LED base is not only decoration. On a dark terrace it makes the water level visible at a glance, and it stops people knocking the hookah over. That said, most customers buy it because it looks good at night, and there is no reason to pretend otherwise.
Height and draw
At 55cm it is seven centimetres taller than the Modern Glass, which gives the smoke slightly longer to cool before it reaches the hose. The difference is small but noticeable over a long session.
Outdoor use
Glass and light suit a terrace, but wind is the enemy of even coals. A wind cover keeps the heat steady and stops ash scattering.
Cleaning
Rinse the base after each session and dry it before switching the light on again. Check the specifications above for how the LED is powered and whether the base is removable for washing.
Alongside it
Coconut charcoal, a phunnel bowl, tongs and a heat management device complete the setup.
Frequently asked questions
Is the light waterproof?
Check the specifications above for how the LED unit is fitted and whether the base can be fully submerged for cleaning.
Does the light affect the smoke?

How tall is it?
55cm, taller than our Modern Glass at 48cm, which gives a slightly cooler draw.
Is it suitable outdoors?

A bowl, charcoal, tongs and heat management. Check what is included in the specifications.
