Box Mods
Adjustable-power devices for sub-ohm tanks, direct-to-lung vaping and low-resistance coils.
What a box mod is for
Control. You set the wattage, which sets how hot the coil runs, which changes vapour volume and flavour. Pair that with a sub-ohm tank and you get the large, warm, airy draw that pod kits cannot produce. It is also bigger, heavier and requires you to understand what you are doing.
Our range
- Halo Forge 80W — single battery, compact, enough for most mesh coils.
- Halo Forge 120W — more headroom for lower-resistance builds.
- Halo Forge 200W — dual battery, colour screen, for very low-ohm coils and long runtime.
Wattage in practice
Most vaping happens between 40W and 90W regardless of what a device can reach. The higher numbers are headroom for coils below 0.2Ω, not a target. Running a coil above its printed range burns the cotton and ruins the flavour.
Battery safety
Mods with removable cells demand care: matched pairs in dual-battery devices, intact wraps, correct amp rating for your wattage, and a case for spares. Never carry loose cells in a pocket. Our Vape Accessories section covers batteries, cases and external chargers.
What to pair with it
A sub-ohm tank, mesh coils at 0.4Ω or lower, and high-VG e-liquid at low nicotine. High-strength nic salt at sub-ohm power delivers far too much nicotine.
Frequently asked questions
How much power do I actually need?
Most vapers sit between 40W and 90W. Higher ceilings matter only for coils below about 0.2Ω.
Do box mods come with batteries?
Usually not. Check the kit contents; removable cells are sold separately in our Vape Accessories section.
Can I use nic salt in a box mod?
Not at high wattage. Use high-VG liquid at low nicotine, or the nicotine delivery becomes overwhelming.
Single or dual battery?
Dual gives longer runtime and shares the load, which matters above about 80W. Single is lighter and simpler.
Is a box mod suitable for a beginner?
Generally not. Start with a pod or starter kit and move up once you know you prefer direct-to-lung vaping.
