What is a pod system?
A pod system is a small vape made of two parts: a battery and a pod that holds the e-liquid and coil. It is designed for mouth-to-lung vaping and works best with nic salt e-liquid, which gives a smooth throat hit at higher strengths. Pod kits sit between disposables and box mods: more economical than disposables over time, simpler than a full kit.
Refillable vs closed pods
Refillable pod kits such as the Halo X2 let you fill the pod with any compatible e-liquid, so you choose flavour and strength. Closed pod kits such as the Halo Seal and Seal Plus use prefilled pods: you click in a new pod when one runs out, with no filling or leaks.
Compare our pod kits

What to check before you buy
Look at battery capacity (how long between charges), maximum wattage, airflow adjustment for a tighter or looser draw, and which replacement pods fit. The Halo X2 range takes Halo X Replacement Pods, sold in packs of four in our Replacement Pods category.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better, the Halo X2 or the Halo X2 Mini?
The X2 has a larger 1000 mAh battery, up to 30 W and adjustable airflow; the X2 Mini is more compact with an 800 mAh battery and up to 25 W. Choose the X2 for all-day battery life and the Mini for portability.
What e-liquid should I use in a pod kit?
Nic salt e-liquid suits most pod kits because it is smooth at higher strengths. Lower-VG freebase liquids also work. Avoid thick high-VG liquids, which can cause dry hits in small pods.
How long does a pod last?
Usually one to two weeks with regular use. Replace it when flavour fades or you notice a burnt taste.
Why is my pod kit leaking?
Common causes are overfilling, a worn pod seal, or storing the device on its side in heat. Fill to the marked line and keep the device upright and out of the sun.
Are closed pods cheaper than disposables?
Over time they usually are, because you keep the battery and only replace the pod. The upfront cost of the device is higher.
