MTL or sub-ohm tank?
- Halo Aero MTL Tank: a restricted, cigarette-like draw for mouth-to-lung vaping. Pairs with higher-resistance coils and nic salt or 50/50 e-liquid.
- Halo Aero Sub-Ohm Tank: open airflow for direct-to-lung vaping and dense vapour. Pairs with low-resistance coils, a box mod and high-VG e-liquid at low nicotine.
Matching a tank to your device
Most tanks use a standard 510 connection. Check that the tank diameter suits your mod for a flush fit, and that your mod can supply the wattage the coils need. Sub-ohm tanks pair naturally with our Halo Forge 80 W and 120 W box mods.
Avoiding leaks
Leaks usually come from over-tightening, worn O-rings, or airflow that's too open for a thin liquid. Fill slowly, keep the tank upright and replace seals when they wear.
Frequently asked questions
What is a sub-ohm tank?
A tank designed for coils below 1 ohm, used for direct-to-lung vaping with more power and more vapour.
Can I use nic salt in a sub-ohm tank?
It isn't recommended. The high power delivers too much nicotine too quickly. Use low-nicotine high-VG liquid in sub-ohm tanks.
Will these tanks fit my mod?
Both Halo Aero tanks use a 510 connection. Check the diameter on the product page for a flush fit.
Why is my tank gurgling?
Usually flooding: too much liquid on the coil. Blow gently through the mouthpiece with the device off, or close airflow while filling.
How often should I clean my tank?
Rinse it in warm water whenever you change flavour or coil, and let it dry completely before refilling.
