Coil resistance explained
Coil resistance is measured in ohms (Ω). Lower resistance draws more power, heats faster and produces more vapour; higher resistance runs cooler and suits a tighter mouth-to-lung draw.
- Halo Mesh Coil 0.4Ω: warmer, denser vapour for restricted or loose direct-to-lung vaping at higher wattage. Pairs with lower-nicotine or high-VG e-liquid.
- Halo Mesh Coil 0.6Ω: a balanced choice for mouth-to-lung or restricted lung vaping at moderate wattage. Pairs well with nic salt or 50/50 e-liquid.
Why mesh coils?
Mesh coils use a flat metal mesh instead of round wire, which heats more evenly across a larger surface. That gives quicker ramp-up, fuller flavour and usually a longer coil life.
Priming and replacing
Before first use, drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton, install the coil, fill the tank and wait five minutes. Start at the low end of the coil's wattage range. Replace coils when flavour fades or tastes burnt.
Frequently asked questions
Should I choose 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω?
0.4Ω gives warmer, denser vapour at higher wattage; 0.6Ω suits a tighter draw and nic salt e-liquid. If you use higher-nicotine liquid, 0.6Ω is usually more comfortable.
How many coils are in a pack?
Halo Mesh Coils come in packs of five.
How long does a coil last?
Typically one to two weeks, depending on how much you vape and how sweet your e-liquid is.
Can I use a coil at any wattage?
No. Stay within the wattage range printed on the coil. Running above it can burn the cotton.
What does priming a coil mean?
Soaking the cotton with e-liquid before you fire it the first time, so it doesn't burn.
