The economics

This is where vaping gets cheap. A 30 ml bottle of nic salt fills a 2 ml pod roughly fifteen times, and a pod lasts one to two weeks. Compared with replacing a disposable every fortnight, the difference over a year is substantial.

Choosing between our kits

  • Halo Nano — 500 mAh, up to 15W. The smallest, for discretion and as a backup.
  • Halo X2 Mini — 800 mAh, up to 25W. Pocketable with reasonable battery life.
  • Halo X2 — 1,000 mAh, up to 30W, adjustable airflow. The all-day choice.
  • Halo X3 — 1,200 mAh, up to 35W, with a screen.

Matching e-liquid

These are mouth-to-lung devices. Use nicotine salt or a 50/50 freebase liquid. High-VG liquid is too thick for small pods and causes dry hits no matter how carefully you prime.

Getting pod life right

Fill the pod, then wait five minutes before the first draw so the wick saturates. Firing a dry wick ruins a pod immediately. Sweet dessert liquids shorten coil life; fruit and menthol are gentler.

Pods are device-specific

Each kit takes its own pods — Nano, X2 and X3 pods are not interchangeable. Check the product page before ordering replacements.

Frequently asked questions

How much cheaper is this than disposables?

Substantially over a few months. A 30 ml bottle fills a 2 ml pod about fifteen times, and a pod lasts one to two weeks.

Which e-liquid should I use?

Nic salt or 50/50 freebase. Avoid high-VG liquids, which are too thick for small pod coils.

How often do pods need replacing?

Every one to two weeks, sooner with sweet dessert flavours that caramelise on the coil.

Can I use X2 pods in the Nano?

No. Each kit takes its own pods. Check the compatibility on the product page.

Which kit suits a beginner?

The X2 Mini or X2. The Nano is smaller but needs charging daily; the X3 adds power most new vapers will not use.
