Refillable vaping involves bottles, priming and the occasional leak. Closed systems remove all of it: the pod arrives sealed, you click it in, and when it is finished you replace it. For people who tried a refillable kit and found it fiddly, this is usually the format that sticks.

The economics, honestly

Closed pods cost more per millilitre than bottled e-liquid. You are paying for convenience, and it is still cheaper than replacing a whole disposable device every fortnight. If cost per millilitre is your priority, a refillable kit is the right answer.

Pod availability matters

With any closed system you are tied to the pods made for the device. Check which flavours are stocked before committing, because a device with two options gets dull faster than you expect.

Keeping it working

Wipe the contacts between pod and battery occasionally. A weak or intermittent draw on a closed system is almost always residue there rather than a failed device. Store spare pods upright and away from heat.
