What they replace
The bowl, the foil, the charcoal and the tongs. An e-shisha head sits on the hookah stem and vaporises flavoured liquid from a pod, so a session takes seconds to start rather than the ten minutes it takes to light coals properly.
What stays the same
The stem, the base, the hose and the draw. The physical ritual of passing the hose is unchanged, which is most of what makes shisha social. What changes is the preparation and the clean-up.
Honest comparison
It is not the same as charcoal shisha. Real molasses over coals produces denser smoke and a heavier, slower character that vaporised liquid does not fully reproduce. What e-shisha offers is convenience: a balcony session on a weeknight, with no ash and no smell in the room afterwards.

Stem diameters vary. The Nimbus E-Shisha Adapter covers most standard stems; check your hookah's top opening against the specifications before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Do I still need charcoal?
No. The head heats the liquid electrically, so there is no charcoal, foil or ash.
Will it fit my hookah?
Most standard stems, using the Nimbus E-Shisha Adapter. Check your stem's top diameter against the specifications.
Is it the same as smoking real shisha?
Not quite. Charcoal and molasses produce denser smoke and a heavier character. E-shisha trades some of that for convenience.
