Coils
The coil is what wears. When the flavour dulls, the vapour thins or you taste burning, the coil has reached the end rather than the device. Replacing it restores the setup for a fraction of the cost of a new head.
Adapters
Hookah stems are not standardised. An adapter bridges the gap between the e-shisha head and your stem, giving an airtight seal. Without one, air leaks at the joint and the draw feels weak no matter how good the head is.
Diagnosing a weak session
Three usual causes, in order of likelihood: a worn coil, a bad seal at the stem, and a nearly empty pod. Check them in that order before assuming the head has failed.
Fitting
Let the head cool completely before changing a coil. Seat the new coil firmly, refit the pod, and leave it a few minutes before drawing so the wick saturates.
