Desert Rose Dark Leaf Berry 200g

Fruit on a tobacco base

Most fruit shisha is blonde leaf, where the flavour dominates. Here the berry sits on top of an unwashed dark leaf, so you taste the fruit and the tobacco together. It is less sweet than the same flavour would be on blonde leaf and considerably more substantial.

Strength

Higher nicotine than any blonde-leaf blend, which is the reason to buy dark leaf and the reason it does not suit everyone. If a mild session has stopped registering for you, this is the step; if you are new to shisha, it is not.

Packing and heat

Dense-pack it firmly in a phunnel bowl, clear the airway, and use fewer coals than you would for blonde leaf. Two, rotated, and moved early if the flavour sharpens. Dark leaf punishes heat more than any other variable.

Session length

A well-managed dark-leaf bowl runs a long time — often longer than blonde leaf, because the tobacco is denser and you are running it cooler. Rushing the heat to get more smoke is how people cut that short.

Storage

Airtight and cool. A 200g pack lasts long enough that storage matters; dark leaf that has dried out burns instead of vaporising.
