Description
Why buy a kilo
The 1kg tub exists for two customers: households that smoke several times a week, and anyone hosting regularly. At AED 119 it works out far cheaper per bowl than the 200g and 250g packs. The catch is storage — a kilo of molasses left open will dry out long before you finish it.
The flavour
Double Apple is the reference point for shisha in this region. Red and green apple with the aniseed note that separates it from a plain apple blend. It is sweet but not heavy, and it works alone or as the base of a mix.
Storing a large tub
Do not work out of the main tub. Move a week's worth into a smaller sealed container and keep the kilo closed in a cool cupboard. That keeps the bulk of it moist to the end.
Session notes
Blonde leaf at medium strength: forgiving with heat, suitable for a mixed group where not everyone smokes regularly. A phunnel bowl and two to three coconut coals is the standard setup.
Mixing
Double Apple takes a mint or a citrus well. Half Double Apple, half Lemon Mint is one of the most ordered combinations in UAE lounges.
Frequently asked questions
How many bowls does 1kg make?
Roughly 50 to 100, depending on bowl size and how tightly you pack.

What does Double Apple actually taste like?
Sweet red and green apple with a distinct aniseed finish. The aniseed is what makes it Double Apple rather than apple.
Is it strong?
It is blonde leaf at medium strength, gentler than dark leaf and suited to longer social sessions.
Is the kilo better value?
Yes. Per bowl it is the cheapest shisha we stock.
