Menthol over heated tobacco

The cooling note sits on top of the tobacco rather than replacing it, so you taste both. That combination works particularly well in heated tobacco, where there is no smoke harshness for the menthol to fight against — the result is cleaner than a menthol cigarette.

The usual starting point

Most people trying heated tobacco for the first time find menthol easier than Classic. The cooling finish softens the tobacco character, which reads as dry and earthy to anyone used to vaping.

Session and disposal

Insert, heat, draw. A fixed number of puffs, then the stick is finished — pull it straight out rather than twisting, which leaves tobacco in the chamber. No ash, nothing smouldering.

Cleaning

Menthol leaves residue like any tobacco, and a device that has run menthol will carry the note into a Classic stick until it is cleaned. If you alternate flavours, clean more often.

Storage

Sealed and cool. Menthol is volatile and fades from an open pack faster than the tobacco character does.
