Description
What a filter tip does
Two things. It holds the mouth end of a roll-up open so the draw stays consistent instead of collapsing, and it stops loose tobacco coming through — the single most common complaint about unfiltered rolling.
Density and draw
A filter that is too tightly packed makes a roll-up hard work; too loose and it does nothing. Consistency matters more than any single specification, because once you have learned how tightly to roll around a particular tip, every roll-up behaves the same way.
Using them
Place the tip at one end of the paper before you lay out the tobacco, roll around it, and seal. Rolling the tip in from the start gives a much neater result than trying to insert one afterwards.
Quantity
150 per pack, which pairs sensibly with a couple of booklets of papers. Running out of tips before papers is the usual imbalance.
Storage
Dry and sealed. Filters absorb humidity and a damp tip draws badly.
What they do not do
They do not make smoking safe or safer. A filter changes the draw, not the risk. Adults 18+ only.
