Description
Why dokha needs a pouch
It is cut extremely fine, which means an enormous surface area exposed to air. Left in an open container it dries within days, and dry dokha burns hot, tastes harsh and loses the character you bought it for. An airtight pouch is not an accessory here so much as a requirement.
Carry a working amount
The sensible habit is to keep the main supply sealed at home and transfer a few sessions' worth to the pouch. That way only a small quantity is ever exposed to air and handling, and the rest stays as it was packed.
UAE conditions
Heat and dry air accelerate everything. A pouch in a pocket is fine; a pouch on a car dashboard will produce dokha that tastes burnt regardless of how you smoke it.
With a medwakh
A pouch and a medwakh together are the whole kit. Between them they fit in a pocket, which is the traditional point of the format — a full session in under a minute, anywhere.
Care
Empty and wipe it out occasionally. Fine tobacco dust builds up in the seams and old dust dulls the taste of fresh dokha.
