Casa Ejemplo Club Mini Cigars

A short smoke, properly made

Cigarillos are often dismissed as the cheap end of cigars, which misses what they are for. Fifteen minutes is a different proposition from an hour: it fits a break, a walk or the end of a meal without the commitment a full cigar demands.

Unfiltered, and why that matters

Without a filter tip you draw directly on the tobacco, which gives a fuller, more direct taste than a filtered cigarillo. It also means the smoke is warmer, so slow draws matter more than they would with the Minis Vanilla.

The flavour

Classic tobacco with no sweetening or casing. Dry, straightforward and closer to a small cigar than to a flavoured product — which is precisely why people buy them.

Practical points

No cutting required. The narrow gauge burns hotter than a cigar, so the main mistake is rushing: draw gently and let it rest between puffs.

Storage

Sealed and cool. Cigarillos tolerate short spells outside a humidor far better than full cigars, but a hot car will dry them within a day.

The alternative

The Minis Vanilla are filter-tipped, milder and sweetened, if this sounds too direct.
